Harvested at an auspicious time—88 days after February 3rd, the first day of spring on the the traditional Japanese calendar—this green tea from Fukuoka is bursting with umami. The aroma is savory, the flavor sweet and deep with a mouth-coating texture.

Shincha, or new tea, refers to the first harvest of sencha for the season. These leaves have been carefully rolled and steamed between a chumushi and fukamushi style, resulting in the classic pine-needle shape and rich emerald color.
