Small Kyusu - Japanese Teapot (2 oz)

$37.25
| /

This traditional Japanese side handle teapot, or kyusu, is made of creamy, off-white porcelain. With an embedded mesh strainer inside the spout, it's ideal for fine-leaf Japanese green teas such as Sencha or Genmaicha; there is room for the leaves to expand and yield a full-flavored, clear infusion. The small 2 oz size is perfect for a single serving, or several small servings of precious teas like Gyokuro.

Easy to use, and simple to clean; simply rinse with hot water.

Measures 1.5" H x 4.5" L (including handle)

Perfect For Single Servings

I absolutely love this little Kyushu for brewing single servings of gyokuro tea. It warms up very quickly and brews up a perfect brew every time. The fine wire mesh filter is a nice touch as well. It does a great job of filtering out almost all of the fines from your brew.

Everyday pot for tea "tastings"

This little pot is perfect to do "tastings" of 4-5 different teas in my collection in one gongfu session. I love it so much I bought a second one.

Favorite gyokuro teapot

I bought this teapot to replace my favorite one; it was identical in shape and size but had a green glaze. I was absolutely distraught when my original kyusu broke, so the fact that this item exists and functions the same was such a gift! I brew gyokuro in this gorgeous little kyusu and highly recommend it.
