Assam, Kachibari Village
As featured on NPR's Morning Edition!
This tea is from the Kachibari Village in northeastern India's Assam, one of the largest black tea production regions in the world. An unusual find from the area, this Assam highlights the passion of two producers, including Tenzing, on his organic 7 1/2 acre farm: He has taken a lead in making tea without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers. The hand-picked leaves have a sweet, full aroma reminiscent of gingerbread; the flavor is bold but balanced, with notes of malt, black currant and dried fruit.
Assam is one of the teas traditionally used in breakfast blends; try this version to experience a nuanced taste of this lush region, or our Bodoland Breakfast to compare the production from nearby farm.
A similar lot also available in teabags.

My current favorite. For breakfast (loose leaf in a pot) it's bold enough to take milk and start the day, but I have to say that malty blackberry flavor-thing it's got is just delicious. I'm sold.
Highly flavorful. One of my favorite teas.
I love this tea. It has an excellent flavor and it’s neither strong or too weak -just right!
Everything perfect: the teas, the owners, the staff!
Very pleased with this tea and with your Lapsang Souchiu
I really enjoy your Assam tea. Wonderful taste. Look forward to trying your other teas.
I like the level of acidity and brightness. Perfect for breakfast.
