This is considered a comforting drink in its native Taiwan, enjoyed in many restaurants and homes. Comprised mainly of twigs from a competition grade High Mountain oolong, it boasts a notable butterscotch aroma—the result of an extra firing process. Sweet flavors of caramel and wood finish with a note of apricot, and a pleasingly light mouthfeel.

Country: Taiwan
Region: Nantou County
Tasting Notes: dark caramel, apricot, roasty
Harvest Season: Spring 2023

Distinctive flavor and aroma, aptly named. Inspired thoughts of musty forests and mythical creatures.

Woodsy, toasty and warming.

I remember the first cup I made of this tea because I'd never had any tea with such a rich, inviting aroma. I enjoy tea as a balm for frosty mornings, and Wood Dragon has all of the best qualities of a first-rate brew: lovely color, warming bouquet and a satisfying finish. Try this unsweetened or sweetened; a spot of honey only serves to compliment the smoky flavor.

I enjoyed this oolong variation. There is a nice flavor balance with the various parts of the tea plant.

I really enjoyed my first purchase and cup of tea. The tea was excellent even after the 4th pour. I didn't expect so much flavor and enjoyment

Wood Dragon has been my go to tea since I met Sebastian 20 years ago. I was in a small coffee shop in Williamsburg, brooklyn and asked for something with minimal caffeine and the guy there suggest this tea. I thought it was the best tea I had ever had. When I asked where to get it, he directed me to this warehouse a few doors down. This was in pursuit of tea’s office. From that day on I was brought into the tea world by Sebastian, Frank and Karen. I since have enjoyed so many other wonderful teas from In Pursuit, it has now become a passion. Thanks you guys !!
