This stellar, unblended lot from the organic Chardwar Estate will open your eyes at any time of the day: rich, malty and biscuity in the cup, an aroma of sweet grain harmonizes with deep, smooth notes of molasses and honey. Its full texture, which coats the palate, is a result of carefully tended plants and full oxidation of the leaves during processing; the abundant golden buds show the high-quality hand plucking.

This is the exact flavor profile I've been looking for in an Assam tea, and it's been a little hard for me to find because tasting notes can be confusing to interpret for a non-expert. Honey and a slight spice note, still with a slight pleasant astringency to balance things out. I personally find the more caramel/milk chocolate flavor notes too cloying, and the more lipton-like pungent assams too boring. This is totally unlike either.

This is an excellent black tea. I very much recommend it. Sweet taste. A good tea to enjoy in the afternoon with a good dessert.

Great Breakfast Tea

This is the kind of awake-making breakfast tea I enjoy. Aside from hearty, IPOT's Assam Golden Tip is fragrant, and silky, tasty even without milk and sugar.

This is one of the best Assam teas I have ever tasted. Rich and full, but also very balanced and subtle. It goes far beyond the maltiness of many other Assams. In addition, it is organic which most teas from Assam are not. Highly recommended!
