Earl Grey

The namesake of Charles, England’s second Earl Grey, this tea—traditionally a blend of strong black tea and bergamot—has been produced since the early 1800s.

Our version starts with a single-estate organic Assam from northern India, which is scented only with pure bergamot oil that has been naturally extracted from the fruit’s rind. The full citrus notes are balanced enough with the rich black tea base so that it can enjoyed plain, or with milk and a sweetener.

Ingredients: black tea, bergamot oil

unexpetedly surprised.

Earl Grey is my favorite supermarket tea. I did not expect the aromatic, robust, and hearty nature of this tea. Is It because of the bergomot oil? The leaves are so hearty that I was able to brew several teapots, savoring the subsequent iterations of each brew. Very satisfying, indeed.

A lovely tea

I really really enjoy this tea. At first the flavor was a bit odd but after a few sips I could not get enough. I love the citrus notes in the tea.

I drink it daily. the tea has a great body to it, and the bergamot is perfect floral / citrus balance.

A Bit Weak for My

I found the tea on the weak dude for my taste. I’d prefer a bit more bergamot oil.

More delicate than regular store bought Earl Grey tea, this tea has a wonderful aroma and taste without the addition of anything. I prefer it as an afternoon tea, it seems to pair particularly well with a madeleine, or two.
