Try a small size—about three servings—of our Mao Feng black tea. Click here to order regular retail sizes.

This new style of Chinese black tea is a worthy addition to the category; its sleek ebony leaves yield a dark amber infusion and earthy aroma. Produced on an organic farm in Zhejiang Province at 2,400 feet elevation, its rich flavor—with distinct notes of ginseng and sweet potato—holds up through a few infusions. Fans of Keemun or Assam will enjoy the depth and strength.

A Delicious Tea

This was the first of the five (or was it six?) samples I tried. I noticed that the steeping time is 3 minutes as apposed to the 5 minutes suggested by another site. I feel this may have made a difference as I truly enjoyed this tea, a lovely balanced flavor, not at all bitter or harsh.

Excellent tea. Smooth, clean finish. Classic black tea flavor refined for the connoisseur in all of us.

This was one of the selections for a tea tasting with a sommelier. I typically do not drink black tea, yet I enjoyed the flavors of this one.
