Chrysanthemum
This refreshing herbal flower infusion is from Anhui Province, China, where it is known as ju hua. The aroma is bright, the taste sweet yet earthy, with a hint of white pepper. A creamy blossom color and crisp, balanced flavor distinguishes this lot, which was hand-harvested and dried in late October.
Considered a traditional tonic throughout Asia, it is often enjoyed with meals. Naturally caffeine-free, we find it a soothing choice at any time of the day. Try adding more hot water to the blossoms to extend the drinking experience; they hold up well to long infusions.
Country: China
Tasting Notes: white pepper, silky, sweet
